Working with designer Rob Finney, we delivered a garden that thrives in it's environment while complementing the home’s refined architecture. Extensive soil works were undertaken to prepare the site, with plants carefully selected for their resilience to coastal conditions.
The rear garden, located above a basement with limited soil depth, presented a unique challenge. To achieve the desired planting scale, we incorporated custom corten steel planters for additional soil volume and created tiered levels to add depth and visual interest to the compact space.
Midway through the project, a striking sculpture sourced from the renowned Sculptures by the Sea exhibition in Cottesloe was introduced into the design, becoming a focal point that anchors the garden’s artistic edge. The stonework was selected to harmonise with the home’s architecture, ensuring a seamless integration between built form and landscape.
