This beautiful Claremont residence was a culmination of an extensive renovation by Wandoo Building Co to the heritage home, with an almost complete re-do of the garden. We initially did the gardens when the owners, who are long-standing clients of QGardens with this being our fourth project together, bought the house. Save for the front hedge and the olive and lime trees out the back, everything has been refreshed and replaced.
Working with the client on the design of the garden, the aim was to create a space that complemented the architecture of the house whilst remaining functional and usable for a busy family. The extensive Pacific Blue paving from Eco Outdoor, as well as the painstaking checkerboard paving on the front veranda, were all laid by QGardens. The planting is subtly layered to create moments of intrigue and interest with robust open spaces of lawn for kids and pets to run, and adults to lounge.
